About

Built by a trader who uses it every day.

PropZilla is not a side project that shipped once and went quiet. It is the tool I use to run my own prop accounts, every trading day. What you are looking at is the current state of that tool — not a demo of one.

Still being built
Version 6.0.2

Version 1.0 went in on 18 June 2026. Every entry below is a real release, read from the changelog when this page loaded.

How it started

It started as a spreadsheet, and the spreadsheet lost.

I trade futures on prop-firm accounts — gold and the micros, the Nasdaq, crude. Anyone who does this ends up with the same pile: evaluation fees, resets, activations, monthly data subscriptions on one side; payouts, when they come, on the other. Different rules at every firm. Accounts that pass, accounts that blow, accounts you forgot you were still paying for.

I tracked it in a spreadsheet for a long time. It worked until it did not. Twelve tabs, a currency column I kept getting wrong, and no honest answer to the one question that actually matters: is this paying me, or am I paying it? A spreadsheet will happily give you a number. It will not tell you the number is wrong.

So I built the thing the spreadsheet was pretending to be. First the money — every fee out, every payout in, in my own currency, at the rate I actually paid. Then the part I needed during the session: each account's trailing floor, what is left in it, and what that means for the next order. Then the journal, because knowing a setup works is not the same as knowing what it is worth. Then the NinjaTrader indicator, because I was tired of alt-tabbing to read my own numbers.

Why it keeps changing

I am user number one.

PropZilla is open on my second monitor before the session and after it. That is the whole development process. When a number is wrong, I am the one it costs. When a page takes four clicks to do something that should take one, I am the one clicking. Things get fixed in the week they start annoying me, usually the same day.

There is no roadmap committee here and no quarterly release train. There is a trader who got annoyed, and a changelog that shows it. That is also the honest reason to trust the numbers: they are the numbers I size my own positions with.

The flip side is worth saying out loud. A tool built by one person for one person has sharp edges, and features exist because I needed them, in the order I needed them. If you hit something that does not fit how you trade, tell me — that is usually how the next release gets decided.

Plainly

What PropZilla does not do.

Worth being blunt about, because plenty of things in this corner of the internet are not.

It does not place trades.

No broker connection, no API keys, no auto-execution, ever. PropZilla never touches your account.

The NinjaTrader add-on is an indicator, not a bot.

It draws the figures you already told PropZilla about, on your chart, so you do not have to switch windows. It sends no orders.

Risk and target figures are information, not advice.

They are arithmetic on the numbers you entered, and they assume you entered them correctly. Yours to check, change or ignore. Nothing here is financial advice, and no software can make prop trading profitable.

There are no signals and no guaranteed passes.

No copy trading, no alerts to follow, no course. PropZilla tracks what you did and what it cost. What you do is your business.

Your data stays yours.

No ads, no tracking pixel, nothing sold to anyone. Page views are counted by a self-hosted, cookieless Umami: it sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not follow you between visits. Export everything as CSV or JSON whenever you like, and delete the account yourself if you are done. The privacy policy spells out the rest.

Where it is going

Early, and honest about it.

PropZilla is in beta with a small group of traders. That is deliberate: I would rather a handful of people tell me what is broken than a crowd find out at once. If you are using it and something is wrong, missing, or just irritating, say so — it is read by the person who wrote the code.
